Antifragile Thinking!!
Notes from @sajalkapoor
If you want to understand Indian Pharma & Chemicals, interwoven with Nassim Nicholas Taleb’s Antifragile Thinking framework, you need to go to Sajal Kapoor. If you want to understand some of these sectors and businesses deeply, he definitely stands out. Prior to this talk, I have had very little understanding of both these sectors, however, was immensely benefited from his below lecture SOIC Finance. It’s a must listen!
Made some notes out of the same. Obviously all errors including incomprehensive writing are mine!
The talk had some great ideas to ponder on:
Randomness
Fragility
Businesses which are anti-fragile and how they expose weakness and hide strength
How every failure improves the probability of next iteration of success and that failure leads to antifragility
Best time to BUY is when you don’t want to BUY
Best time to AVOID is when you WANT TO BUY
How Velocity is more important than Change
Optionality —> Anti-fragile
Differences between Wild Randomness & Mild Randomness
Healthcare as a quasi-FMCG play
How to analyze Hospitals
Peter Thiel’s framework & Power Law
Longevity of businesses with respect to both sustainability & terminal value

Antifragile_Sajal Kapoor However, still recommned to listen to the whole recording for better understanding!
